Smart home protection: multifunctional 3-in-1 security sensor
A safe home is one that will warn you of danger before you see smoke – also when you are on the other side of the world.
A modern, wireless smoke, heat and carbon monoxide sensor is the ideal solution for anyone looking for effective home protection every day and during holidays. The smart sensor will work perfectly as protection for a rental apartment, holiday cottage or private apartment. Thanks to integration with the smart home ecosystem, this one compact device replaces a triple set of traditional detectors, offering remote insight into the situation from anywhere in the world.
Smart 3-in-1 sensor: what can it do?
Spacetronik SL-DCSH05 is a certified, multifunctional home detector whose main task is to instantly recognize the three most common fire and poisoning hazards. The device continuously monitors the space for the presence of airborne fire particles, the silent killer – carbon monoxide, and sudden temperature spikes.
Three advanced measurement technologies are enclosed in one housing:
- Photoelectric (optical) sensor – responsible for precise detection of smoke, minimizing the risk of false alarms from water vapor.
- Electrochemical sensor – constantly measures the concentration of dangerous carbon monoxide (CO).
- Thermal sensor – triggers a thermal alarm if a temperature in the range of 54°C–70°C is reached.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
Spacetronik SL-DCSH05 is not a combustible gas sensor (methane, LPG, propane-butane). If your property has a gas cooker or natural gas installation and you are worried about a fuel leak, you must use a separate, dedicated gas detector.
Main functions of the device: Spacetronik SL-DCSH05
- Notifications in the Tuya app: All you need is a home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to gain remote insight into the situation. As soon as the sensor detects a threat, it will immediately send a push notification straight to your smartphone. Wherever you are – at work, shopping or on holiday on the other side of the world – you immediately know that something worrying is happening and you can call for help.
- Loud local alarm: What if your home internet goes down? No worries, the device does not rely solely on the network. If smoke or carbon monoxide is detected on site, a powerful sound alarm of at least 85 dB and flashing red LED diodes are activated. Such noise will easily wake household members from deep sleep and get the neighbors on their feet.
- Test / Silence button: A burnt piece of toast in the kitchen does not have to mean panic and nervously removing the battery while standing on a chair. The sensor has a physical button that allows you to silence a false alarm for about 9 minutes. This is the perfect time to open the windows and air out the room, while the device remains on standby the whole time. In addition, the button allows convenient periodic checking of the siren’s functionality.
- Battery status monitoring: The Tuya app continuously displays the precise power status. You will receive a low battery notification long before the device starts emitting warning sounds. What is more, the system will also inform you when the 10-year service life of the sensor itself has passed.
What makes the Spacetronik sensor stand out? 4 reasons why it is worth choosing
- Economy and aesthetics (3-in-1): Buying a smoke, carbon monoxide and temperature sensor separately means triple the expense, triple the drilling in ceilings and an interior design nightmare. Spacetronik has enclosed full protection in one minimalist housing with a diameter of just 115 mm. It looks aesthetic, is unobtrusive and saves your wallet right from the start.
- Peace of mind for 10 years: Spacetronik SL-DCSH05 is a long-distance product. The service life of the carbon monoxide sensor and the entire device is as much as 10 years. You buy it once and secure the property for the next decade.
- Replaceable battery with long operation: The device is powered by a CR123A lithium battery (included). In standby mode, the sensor consumes extremely little power (<5 µA). Thanks to this, the battery included in the set ensures stable operation for up to 5 years. And when the time comes to change it, you simply replace the battery itself, not the entire sensor.
- Full compliance with standards: When it comes to protecting life, there is no room for compromise. The device has been designed and rigorously tested for compliance with European safety standards: EN14604:2005 (for smoke), EN50291-1:2018 (for carbon monoxide) and BS5446-2 (for heat). This is important information for rental apartment owners – you have hard proof for the insurer that the facility is fully safe.
Where is it worth using a 3-in-1 sensor?
- Rental flats and apartments: Investing in one security sensor for a rental apartment is pure profit and fewer formalities. You do not have to explain to tenants how individual alarms work. As the owner, you have full insight into the technical condition of the device and battery level directly in the Tuya app, without having to disturb guests or make personal visits to the property.
- Holiday homes and recreational cottages: Cottages on plots or cottages in the mountains are often heated with fireplaces, “goat” stoves or portable electric heaters. This creates a huge risk of fire or carbon monoxide leakage. Spacetronik allows remote monitoring of a holiday cottage all year round – also in winter, when the property stands empty.
- Home protection during holidays: Planning a longer vacation? Home protection for holidays takes on a completely new meaning when a traditional siren (which no one will hear) is replaced by an intelligent Smart Home system. If an electrical installation failure or spontaneous ignition occurs during your absence, you will receive an alert on your phone quickly enough to call emergency services and save a lifetime’s possessions.
- High-risk zones every day: In every home there are places where 3-in-1 protection is crucial. Install the sensor in the hallway near the bedroom (so the loud sound wakes you up at night), in the home boiler room or near the central heating furnace, in utility rooms and in the home garage, where flammable liquids are often stored and the car is started.
FAQ
• Mounting height: On the ceiling, at standard residential height (about 2.5–3 meters).
• Where to install: Mandatory in corridors (main evacuation routes), near bedrooms (so the loud alarm wakes you at night), in a living room with a fireplace and near a boiler room or rooms with a gas furnace.
• Where NOT to install: Directly above a hob or cooker (risk of an alarm from frying and heat), in bathrooms (water vapor) and right next to windows and ventilation grilles, where air movement may “blow” smoke and carbon monoxide away from the sensor. Also avoid the very corners of the ceiling – so-called dead zones form there, which smoke reaches last.
• Sensor contamination: Dust, renovation debris or a small insect has entered the housing and is blocking the optical beam. It is enough to blow out the sensor with compressed air.
• End of device service life: Fire detectors have a programmed operating time (usually 10 years). After this period, the internal system informs you that the sensor has worn out and the entire detector should be replaced with a new one.
A professional detector does not wait until the concentration reaches a lethal level, but reacts proportionally to the amount of gas in the room. At a low concentration (50 ppm), the alarm will trigger within 60–90 minutes of the gas continuously remaining present. At a medium concentration (100 ppm), the sensor will start howling after 10–40 minutes. And at 300 ppm or more, the reaction is immediate – the loud alarm turns on within a maximum of 3 minutes.
